Christmas Week

Hello again!
This week I worked Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 1-6pm (Josh of course works full time every day, but this is my blog :P).  Being the week of Christmas, it was all hustle and bustle and displayed a poor amount of holiday cheer.  We have 2 registers at the store and one decided to be difficult for a few days, leaving us with 1 functioning register, impatient customers, and grumpy employees.  The tech magicians fixed something on their end by Wednesday, so it was much better after that.
Josh and I headed to my mom and dad’s on Thursday (Josh had Thursday and Friday off).  Dad asked Josh to work his magic on the Mac; meanwhile mom and I got to talk and went to Publix for lunch ingredients and food for Christmas.  I/we made mom’s chili and chatted for a while.
I worked Christmas Eve 11-4, Josh hung out with David then made his way to practice before Christmas Eve services.  As I said, I got off at 4, and Josh had to be at practice at 4.  While getting his guitar and everything ready, Josh forgot to change into or bring dress clothes for church.  I got a call right as I was getting ready to leave work.  When I got home, I had to grab clothes for him, eat a quick dinner, and get myself ready.  In order for him to have his stuff on time, I had to be at the church before 5:30.  As I’m driving down there a little too fast (my fault for not leaving earlier), my friend Ariel called to make sure I was bringing clothes (her mom does the sound there, and she noticed Josh wasn’t dressed up at all).  I assured her I was getting there as fast as I could, and kept alternating between her and Josh on the phone (while driving…. haha).  Ariel was a great help; We stayed on the phone and she waited outside for me to pull up and hand her the bag with his dress clothes.  She then ran inside and, from what she told me, Josh had just finished buttoning up his white shirt over the brown MythBusters one before he strapped on the guitar to play.  *phew* Close one.  He put the tie on during the sermon, and then changed from the “holey” jeans to black pants and tucked his shirt in before the second service.
Both services were beautiful.  I did slides for the second and Josh’s family, my aunt Nancy, and her friend were in attendance.  A note about the clothing- I’m not of the mindset that it’s a “sin” to not dress up, but it was Christmas Eve, Josh already owns dressier clothing, he was on stage, and the rest of the worship team was dressed up.  Plus, the Church is the Bride of Christ; we should want to dress our best, especially on dates.

Let’s take a moment to breathe shall we?
Part of our nativity set (finally found a good one). It sits on our DVD player, under our TV :)

Much better.  So Christmas- Woke up, opened presents with Josh’s family.  I got a Nintendo DSi XL, stuff for it, a movie, perfume, and an awesome looking Narnia book. Josh got a bijillion computer parts.
*oOoOo… Ahhhh...*
After a bit, we headed to my eldest brother’s house. We got there late and found that all the monkey bread had been devoured :’( but there was some yummy, home-made apple cider, so it’s ok.  :)  After visiting for a while, we went to my parent’s house for food and gifts.  Then we headed back and had another dinner with Josh’s family.  I guess we hadn’t stuffed ourselves anywhere else, because we actually had room for more food.
Last night, Josh and his dad put the computer together (they’re just that good).  Meanwhile, I cleaned and organized (as always. It never ends) and had a nice long chat with my brother Jerry, and his wife Wendy. :)

Don’t worry, I am hoping to learn to be shorter-winded and more eloquent over time.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Love you!

It glows... and it's ginormous.

Also, today is mom Ann's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
