Zodleclappe -random fictional word/animal by Josh

Dear readers, :)
Monday, Josh and I spent the morning packing and took off around 1pm for an overnight trip Naples, FL.  It was so nice to be able to take our time leaving, and only having two things planned- where we were going to sleep that night and a trip to Naples Zoo the next day.  I'm the type of person who likes to know what's going to happen, BUT if I plan NOT to plan, I'm ok :)
Anyways, we got there around 3 and checked in to our hotel.  I think Josh did a very nice job picking the place out.
After debating about where we wanted to eat:
"where do you wanna go?"
"I don't know, where ever you want to go."
...you know how it goes :P
We finally decided to go to Applebees for their 2 for $20 deal.  After dinner we decided to see the sunset at the beach.  We drove down toward the beach, but unfortunately, the area we were in wanted $8 and a scenic walk to the shoreline.  BUT I knew JUST who to call - my mom.  She has memory and direction superpowers, that woman.  I'm so glad she answered her phone.  She was almost home, so she could go on the internet for exact directions, but she gave us a general direction to begin with.  Long story short, we made it to the beach, found a meter with 14 minutes left, added a quarter just in case, and high tailed it to the shore.  The sunset was BEAUTIFUL.  Later, Josh asked if I wanted to see the new Narnia movie.  Yes! So he looked up show times and a theater on his phone and we sped over to a dollar store for candy (shhh...) before the movie.  Turns out we were the only two in the theater! haha  Movie critique - Josh (who didn't want to see it in the theater before this trip) liked it better than he thought he would, and I didn't like it so much :(
On to Tuesday!  Breakfast at the hotel, then we went to Naples Zoo.  We saw Fosas, native to Madagascar, which look cat-like, but are closer related to mongoose and weasels, and some other cool stuff. :)  For lunch, we walked over to the mall across the street to the food court Chick-fil-a :) ...of course.  Then back to the zoo for a bit, and then headed home.  We got home around 4 and were both very exhausted.
It really stinks not having someone to take pictures of the two of us :(
Wednesday I spent cleaning and then went to my grandparents for a little while.  Then, instead of going to a fancy restaurant for dinner like we planned, Josh and I had McDonald's, and man it was good.  I do love their unhealthy french fries (seriously).  Then we went to Macys where Josh got a nice shirt with our approximately $25 of left over gift cards.  Then we went to Michael's craft store and Josh was drooling over the model car kits.  He JUST built a computer, so I urged him to try to only built something every 6 months or so.  He is not going to have time during the semester.  Perhaps I have some gift ideas now though ;) Thankfully his birthday is also in May.
Thursday I went to the grocery store for the essentials - milk and ketchup.  Then I made dinner, and then lunch.  I brought lunch to Josh at work, and I had to make dinner at lunchtime because I worked that night.  Work was surprisingly busy, and the two of us there had to relocate most of the Christmas items to another spot in the store.  I also bought some stuff on sale that night with my Christmas money :) yay sales!
Today, Friday, I cleaned again (as always) - oh, side note- cleaning can include, but is not limited to, vacuuming, endless loads of laundry, OCD tidying, dishes, and so forth.  Today was mostly the ones mentioned, but only 1 load of laundry.  It's not like the place is always dirty- I'm just making sure it stays clean :)  And I have something wrong with me that I always need to be tidying something.  ANYWAYS, that actually didn't take up too much of the day.  I brought lunch to Josh at work again, and then headed home and played my new favorite game Animal Crossing on the Wii.  I was desperately trying not to take a nap.  Then my friend Jessica came over to use our awesome printer.  It prints, copies, and scans.  The most awesome part is that you can scan to email.  Then I made dinner.  No, there's no glitch in your pixels.  I can cook.  I've been cooking more, and slowly trying new things.  Josh is a great cook too, and I like getting ideas from him.  ooo! awesome thing I learned since dating/marrying Josh - I LOVE certain FRESH VEGETABLES! Even green and red peppers! I never would have thought...
Anyways... this post has taken a few hours to write because I was, yet again, distracted.  We've been watching the show Gold Rush on Discovery for the first time tonight.  It's interesting, but it doesn't look like those guys are getting very far... in the show, they've been in Alaska for 6+ weeks and keep hitting problem after problem.  In real time their mining season has been over for months.  I wonder how they fared.

Well, school starts back up on Monday.  I'm only taking three-ish classes, but Josh has a full load ahead of him.  I'm thinking the semesters are only going to get more difficult for him.  BUT this is his second to last one until his Bachelor's, and I'm making it my goal to make home peaceful, and do what I can to help him.  Let's just hope that all our bones stay intact, we stay disease-free, and my appendix doesn't decide to explode.

Night!
With love,
      Em
