(This one actually WILL be short)
So, last week I mostly worked. I think last Wednesday was the day I got to go out to dinner and shopping with my sister Julie. Then Friday I had the privilege of chillin' with my nephew Jake which his Mommy, Daddy, and sister had fun at Disney. We basically watched I Love Lucy all day... lol. Then I got to see my mom for a little while as we changed shifts. It was nice to hang out for a little while. She also brought me a snack wrap and Hot fudge Sundae with extra hot fudge... :)
Monday was Josh and I's 6 months of being married :) I had class in the morning and work at night, but we were able to go to Friday's for lunch <3
One unpleasantness (not Josh) almost killed the day, but I was able to move on. If people want to be ... not nice, that's their problem. Just because they're not happy, doesn't mean they have to bring me down too.
ANYWAYS, I brought a book to read during my Tuesday class because being there is pointless, but she takes attendance :( It's nice being able to call my mom while driving home on Tuesdays, though. And finally today, Wednesday, I had my first dentist appointment in too long with a new dentist. I like their office very much, and the hygienist was extremely helpful. I will have to get my wisdom teeth pulled later this summer/early fall when my insurance will let me. One tooth is almost all the way through. I thought I'd never see this day come.
Okie doke. Peace out homies.
P.S. I have failed at taking a picture every day, and therefore forfeit my goal. BUT I will still try to take pictures more often. So, continue to check out my photo blog every once in a while.

*Emmy's Creative Corner*
So, my sister-in-law Jenna showed me the most awesome thing and now my brain won't stop thinking about the possibilities! I must share it with the world!
I don't really know how to explain, so I shall just show you.
How to make your own fabric wall decals!
And here's an example of just one of the hundreds of possibilities...
Jenna made a small bird with some fabric, and had the wing made of a different fabric and it was just so cute! It sticks to the wall using a corn starch mix, and apparently comes off when you want it to really easily. Any excess starch comes off with warm water.

Ever wonder, "What the heck am I going to do with all these Christmas cards people sent me?... I don't want to just trow them away..." Well, here are just a few ideas. I particularly like the idea of making gift tags or book marks (so, don't be surprised if you get one with this year's Christmas letter...). In elementary school, we made place mats similar to the ones on page 2.
This Christmas Star idea is cool too!

My Short & Sweet Just Isn't So.
Saturday, I worked 12-5. And I BELIEVE that was the day Josh and I invested in a filing cabinet. :) yay! Ever since I worked for my brother, Nonnie, I love to file. Well, maybe 'love' is too strong a word- I like to file. I am one of those people who likes to keep things organized, but you can't always tell because I need help with the figuring out how. I had been shoving stuff in a drawer because I had no where to file it and now I do :)
Sunday, I believe was the day Josh and I went out to BJ's and ran into my dad there (of course).
Monday was the first day of school for me (Josh started Tuesday). I had a class at 9am and a class at 10am. Then I had to wait in line for an hour to pick up a text book I bought online. Turns out I received the wrong book, but I didn't realize until class on Tuesday. I ordered and paid for the right one, but they gave me the book for another section of the same class. I worked that night and Josh visited :)
So, Tuesday night Josh and I both had classes at 7:10PM and lasting until 10PM, but on different campuses, so we can't drive together. It was Josh's first time driving to the Davie campus and he kinda got lost on the way... haha. But I don't blame him because it is confusing. He turned at the correct exit off the interstate, but on his path there is a Davie Blvd. and a Davie Road, and he got confused.
Anyway, my class is one of those freshman humanities classes (because apparently an "upper" humanity won't fulfill the requirement for a "lower" humanity). Our class of 200+ people wouldn't shut up when the professor was trying to talk, so she just dismissed us early.
I went to my sister's house on Wednesday for some much needed hang out time. We had Mac&Cheese and watched I Love Lucy. :)
Thursday was the day I went back to get the CORRECT text book. Luckily Josh had class that day, and had a break around lunch time. So I brought him lunch and we went to the book store to straighten things out. Turns out the required text I paid for was the one without an online access code which I need. So the new one was $22 more -.- meh. I worked that night and Josh brought me food and he bought an Apologetics Study Bible. It's very cool.
I don't remember Friday hahah
I worked Saturday. I got up at 6:45 to do slides at church on Sunday. That was interesting.... we had a guest worship team. The leader has his own style, which is great, but a headache for the slides girl to try and follow. Services went well though. At some point that afternoon, Josh decided to try to long board for the first time since he hurt his leg in October. I told him I was not driving him to the ER this time (to that he said he would crawl there if he needed to). So of course I follow him outside with my camera. ;) Fortunately he survived and I don't have any pictures of him lying on the ground in agonizing pain. Later that afternoon, I couldn't keep my eyes open and ended up going into a mini coma-nap. I passed out from 3 something til like 6:30. Surprisingly I did manage to fall asleep again around or before 11pm, but Josh went in and out of the room at 4am or something and I couldn't fall back asleep after hearing him come back in. So I finally left the room at almost 6 and doodled some bamboo and pandas haha, but I crawled back to bed at 7 something and ended up falling asleep again and couldn't move until 10. (That was today, Monday) Thankfully I could sleep in because it's MLK Day, and I didn't have class this morning :)
I do have work tonight however. Which is perfectly fine with me :)
Wow, I swore I wouldn't do the day-by-day thing this time and what did I do? ugh....
Maybe next time.....

Zodleclappe -random fictional word/animal by Josh
Dear readers, :)
Monday, Josh and I spent the morning packing and took off around 1pm for an overnight trip Naples, FL. It was so nice to be able to take our time leaving, and only having two things planned- where we were going to sleep that night and a trip to Naples Zoo the next day. I'm the type of person who likes to know what's going to happen, BUT if I plan NOT to plan, I'm ok :)
Anyways, we got there around 3 and checked in to our hotel. I think Josh did a very nice job picking the place out.
After debating about where we wanted to eat:
"where do you wanna go?"
"I don't know, where ever you want to go."
...you know how it goes :P
We finally decided to go to Applebees for their 2 for $20 deal. After dinner we decided to see the sunset at the beach. We drove down toward the beach, but unfortunately, the area we were in wanted $8 and a scenic walk to the shoreline. BUT I knew JUST who to call - my mom. She has memory and direction superpowers, that woman. I'm so glad she answered her phone. She was almost home, so she could go on the internet for exact directions, but she gave us a general direction to begin with. Long story short, we made it to the beach, found a meter with 14 minutes left, added a quarter just in case, and high tailed it to the shore. The sunset was BEAUTIFUL. Later, Josh asked if I wanted to see the new Narnia movie. Yes! So he looked up show times and a theater on his phone and we sped over to a dollar store for candy (shhh...) before the movie. Turns out we were the only two in the theater! haha Movie critique - Josh (who didn't want to see it in the theater before this trip) liked it better than he thought he would, and I didn't like it so much :(
On to Tuesday! Breakfast at the hotel, then we went to Naples Zoo. We saw Fosas, native to Madagascar, which look cat-like, but are closer related to mongoose and weasels, and some other cool stuff. :) For lunch, we walked over to the mall across the street to the food court Chick-fil-a :) ...of course. Then back to the zoo for a bit, and then headed home. We got home around 4 and were both very exhausted.

| It really stinks not having someone to take pictures of the two of us :( |
Wednesday I spent cleaning and then went to my grandparents for a little while. Then, instead of going to a fancy restaurant for dinner like we planned, Josh and I had McDonald's, and man it was good. I do love their unhealthy french fries (seriously). Then we went to Macys where Josh got a nice shirt with our approximately $25 of left over gift cards. Then we went to Michael's craft store and Josh was drooling over the model car kits. He JUST built a computer, so I urged him to try to only built something every 6 months or so. He is not going to have time during the semester. Perhaps I have some gift ideas now though ;) Thankfully his birthday is also in May.
Thursday I went to the grocery store for the essentials - milk and ketchup. Then I made dinner, and then lunch. I brought lunch to Josh at work, and I had to make dinner at lunchtime because I worked that night. Work was surprisingly busy, and the two of us there had to relocate most of the Christmas items to another spot in the store. I also bought some stuff on sale that night with my Christmas money :) yay sales!
Today, Friday, I cleaned again (as always) - oh, side note- cleaning can include, but is not limited to, vacuuming, endless loads of laundry, OCD tidying, dishes, and so forth. Today was mostly the ones mentioned, but only 1 load of laundry. It's not like the place is always dirty- I'm just making sure it stays clean :) And I have something wrong with me that I always need to be tidying something. ANYWAYS, that actually didn't take up too much of the day. I brought lunch to Josh at work again, and then headed home and played my new favorite game Animal Crossing on the Wii. I was desperately trying not to take a nap. Then my friend Jessica came over to use our awesome printer. It prints, copies, and scans. The most awesome part is that you can scan to email. Then I made dinner. No, there's no glitch in your pixels. I can cook. I've been cooking more, and slowly trying new things. Josh is a great cook too, and I like getting ideas from him. ooo! awesome thing I learned since dating/marrying Josh - I LOVE certain FRESH VEGETABLES! Even green and red peppers! I never would have thought...

Anyways... this post has taken a few hours to write because I was, yet again, distracted. We've been watching the show Gold Rush on Discovery for the first time tonight. It's interesting, but it doesn't look like those guys are getting very far... in the show, they've been in Alaska for 6+ weeks and keep hitting problem after problem. In real time their mining season has been over for months. I wonder how they fared.
Well, school starts back up on Monday. I'm only taking three-ish classes, but Josh has a full load ahead of him. I'm thinking the semesters are only going to get more difficult for him. BUT this is his second to last one until his Bachelor's, and I'm making it my goal to make home peaceful, and do what I can to help him. Let's just hope that all our bones stay intact, we stay disease-free, and my appendix doesn't decide to explode.
Night!
With love,
Em

It's a New Year, New Day
After blogging last Sunday, Josh and I cleaned up his desk area. It's amazing! We can see the surface now! Who knew? :) And I cleaned the bunny cage, blah blah
Monday I worked 4-9pm. Josh visited and there were roses and dessert awaiting my return home :) I know, isn't he sweet? :P Then Tuesday I took a trip to Bath&Body Works to take advantage of their after Christmas sales. I got some plug-in "Wall Flower" refills and some manly scented spray for Josh. Skipping forward to Thursday (I don't remember Wednesday haha, I really must take notes) I worked again that night, and yet again Josh visited me :) then he asked if I wanted to go to Dairy Queen! Of course I did! So I asked if Jessica (my friend and co-worker- she was also in the wedding) could come too. Jessica drove the 3 of us there and we thoroughly enjoyed the treat :) Thanks Josh!
I worked Friday, New Year's Eve, from 1-6pm. Josh called and asked me to grab sparkling cider and dessert (I work right next to a Wal-mart grocery store). I came home to a wonderful dinner cooked by my hubby. Later, we watched Kung Fu Panda to help pass the time until midnight. Right before 12, we got out the sparkling white grape juice (they ran out of cider and red grape juice), fancy glasses :), and turned on the TV to watch NYC bring in the new year the way they always do :P
Yesterday (Saturday), we had my grandparents over for lunch. I cooked and Grandpa brought a homemade apple pie for dessert (we're a dessert family...). Then Josh and I took a trip to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Awesome place. We got a candle warmer for 6 bucks. Those things are great. We like scented candles, but the wick stops lighting when we still have like an inch of scented wax left. Such a waste- BUT with a candle warmer, we can enjoy the scent even more! :) We also got some hand towels and whatnot. Later, we had dinner at Dan and Julie's. Chicken wrapped in bacon, Caesar salad, and too much mint fudge. yummm.... :)
And finally, today (Sunday) we *cough* skipped church >.< and I did dishes, laundry, and cleaned the BunBun cage. BUT we listened to a sermon online around lunch time...
Now Josh is playing one of his new video games as I type. So, if this makes less sense and seems more boring than usual (like there's much of a difference...), that is because his game is very interesting hahah
Also, be sure to check out my other blog, here, or by finding the link on the side bar to your right . I am going to attempt to take a picture a day for 2011. I probably won't put the pictures up every day. Rather, I'll write on here about once a week, and then post that week's pictures up on the photo blog after that.
